Many of you will already be signed up for our beginner’s meeting for later in the week or contemplating attending. If you would like a few pointers before the weekend itself you are welcome to come along to this evening at Copleston Wall in Ipswich. We will rehearse some of the skills which get deployed in traditional climbing.

You may wish to practise tying knots, flaking and coiling ropes, belaying on two ropes, belayer positions. And for those of you thinking of leading for the first time you may wish to brush up on building belays, bringing up a second from above, lowering off from above.
