The Ipswich Mountaineering Club (IMC) is a group of outdoors-minded people mostly based in and around Ipswich, Suffolk, UK. For those of you who don’t know the UK, Ipswich is a long way from the nearest hills! However, we don’t let this get us down – there are over 100 people in the club, most of whom are active in one or more of the following:

Climbing – indoors, outdoors, rock, ice …, Alpinism, Winter Mountaineering, Hill Walking, Mountain Biking, Caving, Skiing

If you live in Ipswich, or the surrounding area, and want to take part in any of these activities then join the Ipswich Mountaineering Club.

The main purpose of this website is to aid communication between members of the club. In particular, to help them to team-up with each other at short notice for impromptu trips to the hills. Details of scheduled club meets can be found on the Club meets calendar, together with advice on how to find out who’s going where next weekend.
