Lots of scope for single pitch trad climbing gritstone. Crags that are frequently visited by IMC members include Stanage Edge (Popular, Plantation, High Neb, End), Froggatt, Birchen, Burbage North, Lawrencefield and Millstone
Useful guidebooks include Rockfax's Eastern Grit (a selective guidebook), various BMC definitive guides

- Very close to Hardhurst Farm camp site and popular for meeting on the night we arrive, though can get busy so you may not be able to get a table to eat if you arrive late

- In Hathersage, popular so need to book a table if you want to eat or arrive early

- In Hathersage, famous for its large portions
